PostSubject: Feral/Rogue vs Disc/Rogue   Thu May 08, 2008 2:08 pm

Okay so recently I've respecced back from resto to feral, and have found a decent rogue 2's partner Very Happy We're floating around 1900 atm, and the only real probs we're having atm is vs disc/rogue teams Sad We've tried having me on the rogue, and our rogue on the priest, and both bursting the priest, though 7 times out of 10 our rogue becomes 'dispatched'.

So ye if anyone experienced fighting high rated/geared disc rogue teams could shoot me over any advice it would be much appreciated Very Happy

Our tact is not a standart one, as we are still working on it. Most groups we fight with are 5/5, so I believe they include your bracket too. Main idea is have rogues fight each other, so that you can dps easier, and cc priest after he uses his power shield, to finish off rogue. In the meantime, you'll probably have to hot your partner, abolish+regrowth is prefered.
Primal tenacity is valuable here, to avoid long-time fears while trying to heal. Also try take a pain dot on yourself, for blind immunity.
If you fail to find rogue at the beginning, you can start pounce mangle priest on the move, and go some distance away to shift bear take rage and demo shout to reveal rogue.
From most videos I've seen, and cases I've fought, it's better to try kill rogue, and stun-blind-charge priest when rogue is low hp. However, there are some cases where priest keeps healing rogue, and some god burst shreds can take 50% of his hp quite easy. You can maim shred at that point and call for a ShS of your rogue to stunlock him to death.
Note that as I mentioned this tactic isn't perfect, we're working on a counter for this group, as we face it quite often, and it tends to be a hard one. Any time we tried to nuke priest, it ended up with rogue dpsing me very hard/killing me eventually.

We go for the rogue when we find him always keep him bleeded and save blind for when the rogues cheat death has procced. It's not flawless and if we don't find the rogue were screwed most of the time but else it works. Going for the priest didn't seem to work over 1850 anymore.

the tactic that works for my mate and me is to control the rogue and try to keep preasure on the priest.
to achieve that my rogue opens on the priest trying to cheap- and kidneyshot him before the other rogue opens on him. so when the rogue pops out i pounce - mangle (ff) - maim - cyclone him. the rogue is ~8sec out of the fight having ff and bleedings up. then assist your rogue on the priest, try to get some bleedings on him.

so if the enemy rogue attacks your mate he'll use evasion to keep on the priest, after evasion run out you should charge/cyclone/root the rogue.
if the rogue attacks you just switch to bear, try to survive while assisting your mate with charges (maybe tauren stomp).

but i think you should try some tactics on your own so you'll find out quickly what's the best for you.

(sry for my bad english -.- i hope you understood at least a small part of my text)
