For those who have watched TFC 5, you'll probably understood what title means. Yes, it's a feral vs SL/SL fight. In these fights, usually druid bursts lock to 50-40%, and then death coil-fear-drain life nightmare starts. Trinket is just not enough, and you barely have the chance to dps him below 30% again. Take Felhunter too under consideration, and there you go, no heals except lifebloom, and some lucky rejuvenations.

Truth said, things aren't that bad, but I tend to make drama Very Happy

However, I've thought of a tactic, that may help. It makes the fight longer, which can turn bad, but if druid can hot through dots, then lock will go oom, which is every lock's nightmare. The idea is to pounce pet (or lock, depends, however having pet stunned means less dispels -> less heals), then burn your combo, or immediately cyclone lock. Then you can continue dps pet, which has no resiliense, and low armor (well, debuff is something, but overall not so bad).
Using a feral charge and bash, you can finish off pet without fears (and no lifechannels), and leaving a lock without pet is bad. You can then hot up and top hp.

Lock should summon a second pet at that moment. If it's a felhunter, trying to kill it again barely has any point, as you have all cds. Use your lifebloom to keep yourself up, until Soul link leaves pet again with less than half hp. Maybe then you can try killing pet again, although it's more possible that lock is oom already.

Sad I haven't actually tried it yet in duels, because I can't find a good lock with spare time when I have free time Smile So it's not tested, as I'd like to do before posting, but you can try it and tell me the results Wink

Making soul link damage pet down to 50% ( the pet got about 6-7k HP) so lets say 50% HP left is 3.5k HP that would be you dealing about 16k dmg on the lock to leave the 20% damage to pet at 50% health and then nuking down the 3.5k hp left on the pet..

And its high possibility that the warlock trinkets out from the first cyclone and either fearing you or lolcoil -> fear combo

Lock should summon a second pet at that moment.

GCD = 1.5 sec the total amount of time the warlock will have casting a new pet includng GCD from fel domination will make it a 2 second total cast and your silenced and dispells starts..

I would try to go on cycloning the pet, even if it has hight resistance, during the pounce duration, giving you 5 seconds to go for the warlock without Soul link. Or i you are tauren, war stomp -> cyclone (right after pounce and u opening nuke are made)

I find killing the pets in world pvp, or even bg pvp works wonders, however this tactic works best when los'ing or out of ranging the fears, which can be a lil tricky in the designated dueling area.

Hope this helps Very Happy

The dilema with this is that he just needs to get off a fear on you with the dr fades and just resummon a new one. Vs a good lock it's impossible to kill pet after pet, you will go oom faster for sure. Even if you can abuse pillars a tiny bit, the good warlock will have 100% control over his pet and pull it back to the middle while you are fully dotted up. Healthfunnel send the pet back on you so you won't drink and starts to bandage or whatever he decides to do. There is absolutly no way that this can work, I've tried it myself. It sure does work vs average and rather good locks but not vs top notch ones.

Indeed I've thought of this. That's why I also mentioned charge&bash. Though he can counter it too. What I haven't measured is chances of cyclone to pet. Last time I went like this I had double resist.
Inside arenas, I usually have no problem bursting them, due to rogue factor.(although I'm low rating, still half of our matchups are with 1900-2k).

Yea, I was actually about to post that on the forums later. He duels an SL/SL lock and kills the pet twice, which is what someone posted on this topic earlier.

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

I need to get BT attuned asap!!!!! Just to pwnz an SL/SL, humiliate him, make him kneel..... bounce

Well, that's a good non-arena duel-only way. Like dueling rogues in tank gear... Wink

I think it issnt so hard to beat an Sl lock in arena 1v1. You go round the pillar and heal until you are clear of all dots then you are going on the pet.. but keep running so that he issnt cast any new dots... Now you have the pet down or the Sl lock have take it back.. if he do so you go restealth and first hit on the Warlock then go round the pillar until the Dot your dot on the Wl is out... this you can do until you have finish the Warlock.. i guess this is very lame but you will never loose 1vs1 vs a Sl/Sl Warlock in Arena with this.

Ps: Soory for my very bad english iam germany and my english is not realy good.

in arena its not to bad but in 1v1 in general when you cant really LoS worth crap. I know what happens, cant really do to much really after the pounce and getting him to 40% you just get man handled by cc, and eventually the dots will just out dmg your hots so yah... pwnt >.> ive been able to beat a few just by getting really lucky on the clearcasts and hardcore phat crits but cant always rely on it.

Well, a lock that is worth can always fear-summon pet. You always gotta be careful, dont forget deathcoil-fear combo.

hm speaking from experience, ive only played a lock 2 weeks worth of arenas but if a feral druid was doing your plan to me. id jsut summon a voidwalker and outlast you. i sincerely doubt it would die in an effective manner
